⚖️ What does "Risk Adjusted" mean? — tap to read

Two funds can both give you 15% returns — but one got there through a smooth, steady climb, and the other through wild ups and downs. The Risk Adjusted number tells you how a fund earned its return, not just how much. Higher = a steadier, more efficient ride for the same return. A fund with a slightly lower raw return but a higher Risk Adjusted score may actually be the more trustworthy pick — less likely to test your patience mid-way, and less likely to make you panic and exit at the wrong time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about top-ranked mutual funds
What are the top performing mutual funds right now?
Fund Toppers ranks mutual funds by category across 6-month, 1-year, 3-year, 5-year, Since Inception, and Risk-Adjusted returns, updated regularly. Filter by category to see which funds are currently leading, along with Kaustubh's Insight commentary on what the ranking actually means.
Should I invest in the No.1 ranked fund in a category?
Not necessarily on rank alone. No single fund stays at No.1 forever — short-term rankings can shift with market cycles. Check the fund's Risk-Adjusted return alongside raw returns, and consider your own goals and risk tolerance rather than chasing last year's topper.
What is risk-adjusted return and why does it matter?
Risk-adjusted return measures how much return a fund generated relative to the risk (volatility) it took on, rather than raw returns alone. A fund with slightly lower returns but much lower risk can be a better choice than a higher-return fund that took excessive risk to get there.
