AMFI Disclosure

Our registration, how we are paid, and what you are entitled to know.

Last updated: July 2026
Ace Financial Services is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-110832). We are not a SEBI-Registered Investment Adviser. We are paid commission by Asset Management Companies on regular plans; you pay us no separate advisory fee.

1. Our Registration

Ace Financial Services is a sole proprietorship of Kaustubh Valimbe, engaged in the distribution of mutual fund schemes in India.

Our ARN is issued by AMFI, the industry body for mutual funds in India, which operates within SEBI’s regulatory framework. You may verify any ARN on the AMFI website.

2. What Our Registration Means — And What It Does Not

Registration as a mutual fund distributor authorises us to distribute mutual fund schemes and to assist investors with transactions and servicing.

Registration does not guarantee the performance of any scheme, nor assure any return to investors. It is a licence to distribute, not an endorsement of any product.

We are not a SEBI-Registered Investment Adviser (RIA), portfolio manager, stock broker, or research analyst, and we do not hold ourselves out as any of these.

3. Distributor, Not Adviser — The Legal Position

In India, the title “Investment Adviser” is reserved for entities registered with SEBI under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013.

As an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor, any guidance we give on scheme selection is incidental to our primary activity of distribution, and we do not charge a separate fee for advice. This is the position contemplated by Regulation 4(d) of those Regulations, which exempts distributors of mutual funds who are members of a self-regulatory organisation recognised by SEBI or registered with an association of asset management companies, whose advice is incidental to their primary activity, and who provide no service requiring SEBI registration.

If you want formal, fee-based investment advice with a fiduciary standard, you should approach a SEBI-Registered Investment Adviser. We are happy to explain the difference if it would help.

4. How We Are Paid

This matters, and we would rather you hear it plainly from us.

We are paid commission by Asset Management Companies, not by you. When you invest through us in a regular plan of a mutual fund scheme, the AMC pays us a distribution commission — typically an ongoing “trail” commission calculated on the value of your investment.

You do not pay us a separate advisory fee. The cost of distribution is already embedded within the scheme’s expense ratio, which is reflected in the scheme’s Net Asset Value.

Commission rates vary by scheme, category and AMC. We will disclose to you, on request, the commission we receive in respect of the schemes we recommend to you, in accordance with AMFI requirements.

5. Regular Plans and Direct Plans

Every mutual fund scheme is available in two variants:

We distribute regular plans. You are entitled to know that direct plans exist, that they carry a lower expense ratio, and that they are available to you directly from the AMC without going through us.

What you receive in return for the regular-plan cost is our service: help with scheme selection, transactions, documentation, ongoing review, and someone to call when markets are difficult. Whether that is worth the difference is your judgement to make, and we respect it either way.

6. Conflicts of Interest

Because commission rates differ between schemes and fund houses, a distributor could in principle be influenced to recommend whatever pays more. We think you should know that this incentive exists.

Our commitment is that scheme recommendations are made on the basis of suitability for your stated goals, time horizon and risk profile — not on the basis of what earns us more. You are entitled to ask us, at any time, what we earn on anything we recommend.

7. EUIN — Why It Appears on Your Forms

The Employee Unique Identification Number (EUIN) identifies the individual who advised on a transaction. Our EUIN is E155215.

Quoting the EUIN on your transaction form protects you: it creates a record of who advised the transaction, which matters if you ever raise a complaint about mis-selling. If a transaction is executed without any advice from us, it may be marked as “execution only”.

Please do not leave the EUIN field blank if we have in fact advised you on the transaction.

8. Code of Conduct

As an AMFI-registered distributor we are bound by the AMFI Code of Conduct for Mutual Fund Intermediaries, which requires us, among other things, to:

9. Know Your Customer (KYC)

KYC is mandatory for mutual fund investments under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. It is completed once through a KYC Registration Agency and is then valid across all mutual funds and fund houses in India.

We will assist you with the KYC process, but we never require your passwords, OTPs, or net-banking credentials. Please never share these with anyone, including us.

10. Change of Distributor

Your investments belong to you, not to us. You are free at any time to change your distributor, or to move to direct plans, by following the prescribed process with the relevant AMC or registrar. We will not obstruct such a request.

11. Verification and Contact

You can verify our ARN on the AMFI website at amfiindia.com.
